Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, so most people won’t notice you’re straightening your teeth. Without brackets and wires, there’s no risk of mouth irritation or the injuries often caused by broken hardware. Aligners are more comfortable than traditional braces and require fewer office visits, about once every six weeks.
Because aligners are removable, you can brush, floss, and enjoy your favorite foods without restriction, then slip them back in. With traditional braces, brushing and flossing can take up to 30 minutes, many foods are off-limits, and cavities are a common side effect. Invisalign also uses proprietary SmartTrack® material for more predictable, controlled tooth movement than other clear aligners, delivering excellent results in both simple and complex cases for teens and adults.

How Does Invisalign Work?
We start with a digital scan or impressions of your teeth and map out a precise treatment plan, including how long alignment will take. A series of custom aligners is created, each designed to shift your teeth slightly toward their final position. You’ll switch to a new aligner about every two weeks and visit our office roughly every six weeks to make sure treatment is on track. Are Invisalign Aligners Easy to Wear?
Yes. Aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours a day and removed only for meals, brushing, flossing, and sports that require a mouthguard. Cleaning them adds just a few minutes to your daily routine. After treatment, a custom Vivera® retainer made from the same clear material keeps your new smile in place.
How Should I Clean My Aligners?
Use the Invisalign Cleaning System or gently brush your aligners with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Always use lukewarm water, since hot water can warp the plastic.
What If I Lose or Break an Aligner?
Call our office right away. Dr. Gorelik will decide whether you should wear your previous set, move to your next set, or order a replacement so your treatment stays on schedule.
